When cooking, nothing makes me happier than being able to make delicious food using as little ingredients as possible. Why so? Because, more isn’t always better. Sometimes a few ingredients provide enough flavor to make an out of this world dish.

Such is the case with my “4 Ingredient Spinach & Cheddar Pinwheels”. Of course, Pepperidge Farm takes blunt of the work and ingredient list by making these ever so versatile Puff Pastry sheets!

Spinach and Cheddar Pinwheels are one of my go-to appetizers for dinner parties and iftar as well. I assemble and freeze them periodically during Ramadan and quickly bake them in time to break fast. They’re overall mild with a gentle kick from red pepper flakes and mildly salty cheddar cheese. While the spinach is a key player, it’s not as intense in flavor as the pastry sheet itself and the cheddar. Now you too can eat your leafy green vegetables as a snack!
